Instead of hopping straight on the highway out of Youngstown Harley-Davidson®, we suggest staying on Ohltown Road all the way until Austintown Warren Road, where you will take a left. This route will take you through the Meander Creek Reservoir. Once you pass the Creek, you will take a right on Highland Ave. and then take a left on Hallock Young Road shortly after.
The First Stop
Once you’re on Hallock Young Road, you’ll pass over Mud Creek and then take a left on Tod Ave SW. You will then run into Ross’ Eatery and Pub, which is your first stop. Stop by the Pub for some food and drink or just for a quick $5 appetizer. The Pub offers weekly specials as well!
After your quick pit-stop, it’s highway from here! Hop onto I-76 W for 40ish miles and head towards Akron, Ohio. This will bring you to 22A where you’ll get off, and we’ve put in a quick stop at Insomnia Cookies if you need a sweet treat. The name says it all, but Insomnia has the best cookies, ice cream, and more to offer. If you aren’t trying to grab a treat, then keep North to see downtown Akron.
After cruising through the city, you’ll want to hop on Merriman Road, which will turn into Riverview Road as you get closer to Cuyahoga National Park. Bam! You’ve made it! If you want to hop off the bike for a little, you can hit up the hiking trail, rent a canoe or kayak, fish, play a few holes of golf, and more.
Good luck on your journey! There are plenty of stops along the way if you aren’t feeling the Pub or cookies. Safe travels from Youngstown Harley-Davidson®. When you return, feel free to stop by Biker Brewhouse located at Youngstown Harley-Davidson® and tell us how it went!
